SSCAFCA’s Board of Directors Appoints a New Executive Engineer
Charles is a professional civil engineer registered in New Mexico with over 13 years of experience. His projects include; wastewater, drinking water and overseeing storm water projects that incorporated both multi-use and zero drainage discharge concepts.
His previous professional experience includes serving as Director for the New Mexico Mining and Minerals Division (MMD) as well as the Division’s Mine Reclamation Bureau Chief for the State of New Mexico. Prior to working for MMD, Thomas spent more than eight years as the Chief Engineer for the Drinking Water Bureau and the Ground Water Quality Bureau of the New Mexico Environment Department.
Charles begins his position with SSCAFCA on July 19, 2011, where he will work with the staff as well as area municipalities, state and federal agencies, flood control authorities and other constituents. SSCAFCA Chairman Mark Conkling said “Charles’ experience in water issues and his collaborative philosophy will serve the residents of this region well. We look forward to continuing to meet the needs of the SSCAFCA communities related to flood control and water quality.”
